Xu Zhong

Strategic Study of CAE 2002, Volume 4, Issue 2,   Pages 36-41

Abstract:

The plasma surface metallurgy technology is a method of the surface metallurgy by using low temperatureplasma produced by glow or arc discharge. The double glow surface alloying process, which developed based on the plasma nitriding, is a kind ofthe plasma surface metallurgy technology.Recently the double glow surface alloying process has been applied to titanium and its alloys.

Sub-nanometer finishing of polycrystalline tin by inductively coupled plasma-assisted cutting

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2023, Volume 18, Issue 3, doi: 10.1007/s11465-023-0751-5

Abstract: However, the existence of grain boundary (GB) limits the surface roughness of polycrystalline tin afterIn this work, a novel method termed inductively coupled plasma (ICP)-assisted cutting was developed forExperiments conducted based on the ICP system indicated that the plasma-assisted cutting method promotedreduction of the influence of GB steps on the finishing of polycrystalline tin, thereby achieving a surfaceThe results of residual stress release demonstrated that the residual stress of plasma-assisted turning

Non-thermal plasma enhances performances of biochar in wastewater treatment and energy storage applications

Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering 2022, Volume 16, Issue 4,   Pages 475-483 doi: 10.1007/s11705-021-2070-x

Abstract: Surface functionalization or modification to introduce more oxygen-containing functional groups to biocharIn this study, non-thermal plasma was applied for biochar surface carving before being used in contaminantThe plasma-treated biochar enabled a faster metal-adsorption rate and a 40% higher maximum adsorptionMoreover, to add more functionality to biochar surface, biochar with and without plasma pre-treatmentBET surface area and pore volume.

Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering 2018, Volume 12, Issue 2, doi: 10.1007/s11783-018-1017-z

Abstract: In this study, post plasma-catalysis degradation of mixed volatile organic compounds (benzene, toluene, and xylene) has been performed in a hybrid surface/packed-bed discharge plasma reactor with Ag-Ce/The effect of relative air humidity on mixed VOCs degradation has also been investigated in both plasma-onlyIn comparison to the plasma-only system, a significant improvement can be observed in the degradationand the competitive adsorption of water vapor on the catalyst surface.
